Dream State || Have you seen God?
I had the most vivd dream last night that, as I was walking out of a certain part of town that was making me feel quite fearful I saw a woman with a huge presence also walking the streets. She looked over at me surprised to see me so elevated as I seemed abnormally tall for some reason, but perhaps there is a deeper symbolism there, suggesting to spiritual elevation. At any rate she seemed to think I was some sort of spiritual authority as
she asked me, “Have you seen God?”.
I looked down to her and said, “HUH, no. I haven’t.” She nodded her head and seemed to rededicate herself to her walk as if she was literally in search of an individual/ animal named God. I was perplexed, wondering if she was referencing the all mighty source many people worship and pray to or if she has lost her cat that was cheekily named God!
The message of the dream continues to haunt me through the morning hours as I type this…
there was something about the expression on her face and the way her words penetrated me. I knew she was talking about something much deeper than a house cat, yet still when questioned I denied having a relationship with a source I know for a fact I do have a relationship with. While my version of God is quite different the portrayal of a white bearded man from the Bible stories, a ever present and powerful force God remains in my minds eye and in my heart!
The dream made me question the strength of my connection to my faith.
Perhaps this was a sign for me to dive in deeper, to hold my arms wide to the practices and self talk that I know strength my Faith. Perhaps this was a message to clear out any and every voice that is not in alignment with belief that this beautiful universe is ever organizing itself to our liking, and in the most perfect timing for us and all involved!
And so it is! I pray this message will extend unto you and wrap you in the wings of faith and if you feel you have no faith maybe this is an invitation to cultivate your version of God, that reminds you that you are not alone in this Universe and that everything is being organized FOR you without you having to control, manipulate or fight for it.
